Palo Santo, Bursera graveolens, is a wild tree native to coastal South America. It translates to "Holy Wood" in Spanish. It has been traditionally used by indigenous cultures for its purifying properties. The smoke from this wood can be used to cleanse or purify the energy of any space, object or person. It is important to set your intentions to release the unwanted energy as well. The wood and its smoke also smells amazing! 
 
Light the Palo Santo stick and let it burn until it gets going and then gently blow it out. Place it on a fireproof bowl or plate (I sell these too if you want to check them out!) and let it smoke. It can be relit immediately when it stops smoking or saved for later. Many cleansings can be done with the same stick. The smoke can be wafted into any areas or around people or objects that need a reset.
